Install extension

Omnipal work with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, on Windows, macOS and Linux.

We dey publish Omnipal for Chrome Web Store and Edge Add-ons: di links go show here as soon as di listings don go live.

1. Open di Omnipal page for Chrome Web Store (or Edge Add-ons, if na Edge you dey use).
2. Press Add to Chrome (in Edge: Get) and confirm.
3. Pin Omnipal icon to toolbar: puzzle icon, then pin next to Omnipal.
4. Open di Omnipal pop-up and press Sign in: carry on with next step.

If your computer managed by company and installation blocked, ask IT to allow extension.

Connect your account

Dis extension open this site sign-in page. Sign in with Google or with 6-digit code we email you: if you no have account yet, we create it right then.

When the page says Extension connected you fit close am and go back to your browser. You fit connect up to 5 devices; revoke de ones you no longer use from your account.

Set up your AI provider

Omnipal uses your own API key: de code de AI provider use to recognise you and bill you for model usage. In Omnipal’s Settings choose di provider, paste di key, press Test connection and then Load models to choose the model.

Model names dey change often: if one model no exist again, press Load models and choose one from di list wey we don update.

Ollama, models for your own computer

With Ollama the model run on your computer: your emails never leave it and it cost nothing. Install Ollama, download a model (for example ollama pull llama3.2) and allow requests from extensions, then restart Ollama. For Windows:

setx OLLAMA_ORIGINS "chrome-extension://*"

For di first test, your browser go ask permission to contact localhost.

Azure OpenAI and compatible services

Choose Your own choice and enter di service address (for Azure https://RESOURCE-NAME.openai.azure.com/openai/v1), di key and di deployment name as di model. For Azure, set authentication to api-key.

Use Omnipal in Gmail

• Suggestions: when di panel open, you go get four possible replies; one click go put di reply inside your draft.
• Tone, length and language: 14 tones, 4 lengths and 35 languages, or de language of de conversation.
• Highlighted text: if you select part of di message before di panel open, di reply go focus on dat part.
• Insert into email: di text dey enter di draft above di signature and quoted text; you still fit edit everything and Ctrl+Z undoes it. Generate am again gives you other version.
• Ctrl+Enter generates, Esc closes the panel.

Omnipal no dey ever send email for you: na you always dey decide to send.

Rules, memories and signature

• Always-on instructions: rules wey AI dey follow for every text, like “No invent anything wey no dey for di thread or your memories” (e dey on by default). You fit edit dem, pause dem or add up to 30.
• Profile and memories: your name and facts wey AI fit use (business, products, opening hours, contacts). No add passwords or private data: dem dey go to di provider with every request.
• Automatic signature: e dey join di end of every email wey AI generate; you fit paste your own signature with bold text, links and logo.
• Backups: export and import your settings as file, with or without API keys.

Privacy and security

• Email text goes straight from your browser to de AI provider you chose, only when you generate text or, if you turn them on, for suggestions. It never pass through Omnipal servers.
• API keys dey stay only for dis browser, inside area wey only di extension fit access. We no dey ever receive dem, even with sync.
• How data is used depend on the provider: for work email prefer a paid plan, a provider with EU servers such as Mistral, or Ollama on your own computer.

Common problems

I can’t see de buttons in Gmail

Reload di Gmail tab and check for Omnipal Preferences say di buttons dey on.

Invalid API key

Copy di key again without spaces and check say your provider account get credit.

“Model not found”

Press Load models and pick one of de available models.

Replies are slow

Turn on fast mode for Preferences or choose lighter model.

I no dey receive di email code

Check your spam folder and di address wey you type. After 30 seconds, you fit ask for new code; each code dey valid for 10 minutes.

Di site talk say e no fit find di extension

Check in chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions) say Omnipal dey installed and e dey on, then start di sign-in again from di extension pop-up.

“You don already connect 5 devices”

Revoke device wey you no dey use again from your account and try again.

After update you see "reload the Gmail page"

Reload di Gmail tab: your settings go remain.
